What's silk filament?

PLA with a high-gloss, satin-like shine: made for how it looks, not for strength.

Meet SilkySilky is all shine. Same PLA underneath.

Polymaker Panchroma Silk PLA. Typical ranges from one maker’s data sheet. Brands differ: the label on your spool wins.

Why it matters

  • A glossy, silky surface straight off the printer: vases, ornaments, cosplay.
  • Polymaker makes its silk PLA for decorative parts, not for parts that take a load.

Tips from the workshop

  • Print it like PLA, at the temperatures on the label.
