What's infill?
The pattern printed inside a part. Printed parts are not solid: they are mostly air.

- Patternsgrid, gyroid, honeycomb
- More infillstronger, heavier, slower
Why it matters
- It supports the top surfaces and adds strength without wasting plastic.
- It is a big part of print time and filament use.
Tips from the workshop
- Need more strength? Add walls first: they help more than extra infill.
- Gyroid is strong in every direction and prints smoothly.
- 100 % infill is rarely worth it.
