What's flow?
How much plastic the nozzle actually pushes out, compared with what the slicer asked for.
- Too muchblobs, rough tops
- Too littlegaps, weak layers
- Fixed witha calibration print
Why it matters
- The right flow gives smooth top surfaces, strong layers and accurate sizes.
- It is the difference between parts that fit and parts that need sanding.
Tips from the workshop
- Calibrate for each new filament: brands and colours differ.
- Dry the filament before calibrating, or you will chase the wrong problem.
- Bambu Studio has flow calibration built in.
