The Supports

What's BVOH?

Another water-soluble support material: easier to print than PVA, and it dissolves faster.

Meet BevoBevo is Pava's quicker cousin.

Nozzle 215 °C · Bed 60 °C

Prusa, for BVOH. Typical ranges from one maker’s data sheet. Brands differ: the label on your spool wins.

Why it matters

  • BCN3D: BVOH dissolves much quicker than PVA and leaves less behind in the print.
  • Prusa: it is the easier of the two to print, and sticks to the bed a little better than PVA.

Tips from the workshop

  • Keep it in a dry box: like PVA, it soaks up moisture fast.
