What's ASA?

The outdoor cousin of ABS: as heat-resistant, but it stands up to sun and weather.

Meet AsaAsa is Abyss's little brother: outdoorsy, sun- and weather-proof, unbothered.

Nozzle 230–260 °C · Bed 75–95 °C

Polymaker ASA. Typical ranges from one maker’s data sheet. Brands differ: the label on your spool wins.

Why it matters

  • Compared with ABS it resists UV better, warps less and smells less.
  • The right choice for parts that live outdoors: garden, car exterior, balcony.

Tips from the workshop

  • It still warps: print it in an enclosure or with a draft shield.
  • Ventilate the room: it still gives off fumes.
